The best Yugioh online simulator is Dueling Nexus. Dueling Nexus supports both a fully automatic and manual game mode. In the automatic game mode, all effects are handled by the server, that means its impossible to make a mistake. Manual mode is great when preparing for real life tournaments as it simulates real life play.

All cards are totally free, and unlocked from the start. New cards are added daily, as soon as they are announced, much sooner than they are officially printed. This gives you an edge over other duelists since you have access to cards long before them.

How to Play

To start dueling simply head over to their website and make an account. You don’t need to download anything as the entire game runs in your web browser, this means that all operating systems are supported; Including Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS and any other OS that can run a web browser.

You can make a deck and jump straight into a duel. If you aren’t sure which deck to use, then you can get one from Dueling Nexus. They offer pre-made decks that are strong in the latest formats, and there is a community page where anyone can share their own decks.

AI Opponents

Dueling Nexus offers multiple intelligent AI opponents and many different decks you can duel against.

You can select a specific deck from a list of available decks when challenging the AI, or let them choose one at random.

The developers are constantly adding new decks. So you can keep practicing against the latest meta decks.

There is a hand test mode you can use to practice your combos. In this mode the AI will simply end their turn without doing anything.

Deck Editor

The best yugioh simulator wouldn’t be the best if it didn’t offer an amazing Deck Editor, and Dueling Nexus does.

Retro Formats

Dueling Nexus offers a number of retro formats, such as GOAT, Edison, Redu, TOSS and others. There are two queues for the Edison format, one for unranked, and one for ranked, allowing you to easily find an opponent.

Dueling Nexus also hosts tournaments for various retro formats, including the redu format, and has the largest retro community.

There is a rotating list of queues, so you can try out different retro formats every month.

Other Formats

While TCG is what most duelists are playing, there are a few other popular formats available.

The latest OCG format banlist is available, and is updated as soon as a new one is announced.

Genesys format is supported, including the correct points list, both TCG and OCG versions are available, and Dueling Nexus is used by the largest Genesys community out there.

Rush duels, including all the special monsters such as Maximum are also available. Like with regular cards, new rush cards are added constantly.

Tag duels are also available, allowing you to play together with a friend against two opponents.

Popular anime cards are available, and more cards are being added constantly. This includes the Seal of Orichalcos cards used by Dartz in the Duel Monsters anime.

Finally, you can create completely custom games, setting your own life points, number of cards in the starting hand, cards per draw, master rules and much more.

Ranked Mode

Dueling Nexus offers multiple ranked leaderboards, such as for the latest TCG format, latest TCG Genesys format and the Edison format. The ranked leaderboards are reset at certain intervals, the TCG format is usually reset whenever a new banlist is released.

The more you win, the higher your rank will be. If you are one of the top players, you will receive special rewards whenever the format is reset, and leaderboards of the top 100 players of the past formats can be viewed.

Due to the ranked mode, Dueling Nexus has many of the best players in the world.

Cosmetics

Like in real life, cards can come in different rarities. Unlike in real life, you can unlock all cards in any rarity, even if that card doesn’t come in that rarity in real packs. All cards are automatically available in the common rarity for every duelist.

As you duel, you will unlock rarity points you can use to unlock different rarities. This is purely cosmetic and doesn’t give you or your opponents any kind of gameplay benefits.

You can customize your own avatar, portrait, sleeve, frame, playmat as well as deck boxes and much more.

Statistics

Since Dueling Nexus is the largest Yugioh simulator, it offers a ton of valuable statistics you can use, such as which cards and archetypes are currently performing the best. This can help you plan for real life tournaments, and is just a lot of fun to look at.
